Tom's Taxidermy
Tom did a whitetail mount for me several years ago and did a great job. Located in Wakefield, Ks. Might be worth a trip to see his display room and talk to him a bit.
I agree Don Frank is the best, you will not be dissappointed.

What are you wanting to have done? A deer, fish, bird???
I looked at Don Frank's website. His repro paint jobs look very natural.
I see ads on cragslist for taxidermy all the time, but the work ALWAYS looks terrible, especially the fish. If you have something you want to hang on the wall for a lifetime, I (personally) would not base much of my decision on the guy's location. I do fish and birds as a hobby, but I'm not really looking for work.
Good luck with your trophy!
