Actually to clarify, voting yes does not lower boat taxes nor does it guarantee lower taxes, it only allows the legislature the power to change the way watercraft are taxed whether it be raising or lowering the tax burden on those of us that own watercraft. As it stands right now, it is not possible to change the way watercraft are taxed due to the wording in the constitution but by voting yes we are supporting an amendment to the constitution allowing the legislature the power to change the taxation of watercraft.
I support this 100% as I think it is ridiculous that we pay the amount we do here in Kansas for our "Luxury" items....
