    Default Milford Mixed Bag 10-Oct-2012

I'm back in Kansas so my buddy Dave Anders and I decided to do a little fishing after work! Hit Milford about 5:30 and fished until almost dark. Dave was the first to hook up, he thought he was snagged until it started swimming away, his personal best largemouth bass!Name: davebass.jpg

He actually caught the first 3 fish, the bass, a white bass, and a small crappie! Myfirst fish was a nice 11" crappie! Caught a few more crappie before finding a school of huge gills, this one measured an honest 9"!!!Name: gill2.jpg

After catching about a dozen gills this monster hit and I told Dave, "If this is a bluegill, it's a world record!!!" lol I really thought that I had a nice walleye on my ul with 4lb line but then I saw it!!!Name: carp2.jpg

Caught a few more crappie before heading in! All fish were released to fight another day!!!

I'll bet that carp was a blast to catch on such light tackle! Thanks for the report!

Oh yeah, I had some gills like that the other day, talk about tasty. I couldn't see them yesterday though. I even caught some LMB myself slingin' plastic for eyes, one same class as your pic and the other about 4#. I even caught some walleye, which have eluded me since the Glen tourny, cause I really ain't been fishing them. To be honest, I'm actually hunting those big gills even more now, they're sweet!!!! Great job and nice pics, I'll post up mine when the sun brightens up.
All lakes raise a foot when I step in the boat
