Tried a different type of fishing this weekend. My wife bought a groupon for bowfishing out of Pomme de Terre with The Bowfisher, so we decided to use it this last weekend. Had a blast shooting at drum and smallmouth buffalo. Most were in the 10lb range. The key word is ‘at’, did a lot more shooting than hitting, totally different than shooting my bow in my backyard. Between the both of us we shot over a 150 times in about 4hrs. I can see where this can be very addictive, because it was, “I can hit the next one”, “Where’s the next one is can shoot at”, and can be pretty fast pace when you find them scattered up and down the shoreline. We’d like to try it again, next time probably do the night time fishing.
Anybody else on here bow fish regularly? I know Big Hill is a popular place to go.

Fishing time this fall is looking slim, work is keeping me too dang busy, but I’ll still find time to sneak away a time or two.
