Default Clinton Lake fish cleaning station closed

The fish cleaning station by the marina has been closed for over 2 months. When I asked the state park office about it they said the motor is bad and the new one is $5,000. They would not say if a new motor has been ordered, so I would say probably not. I suggested they have the bad motor rebuilt at a cheaper cost but was told they have to go through their suppliers. Is this correct or are they just stalling so they don't have to repair it this year(no money in the budget for this year repairs) ?
They did set out a picnic bench and water hose, along with a fish only barrel, near the station, but no electricity, to clean fish at. I'll bet the racoons are getting fat out of that barrel at night. I have not seen it being emptied, plus we have not seen the racoons around the marina slips at night like we have seen in past years. I guess that is a plus so they are not scavenging food from our boats, causing damage to seats to get to hidden left over snacks or stealing minnows out of floating bait buckets.
I hate to think about anglers leaving the lake with fish in their live wells without draining them, like the law requires, since there is not a good place to clean their catch.

Yes only one cleaning station, plan on cleaning your fish at ramp or elsewhere. There was a pinic table at the fish cleaning station where fish were being cleaned, that was three weeks ago.

Well I think from now own I will just put plugs in my live wells and the other holes in the rest of the boat and carry a 48 qt cooler with ice and take my fish home and clean them like I did when clinton was hot back in the 80s. I have a lot better cleaning station at home. If I am camped out I have a small generator I purchase at cabelas that will run a fillet knife and a light.

Is it okay for me to clean my catch on my pontoon boat while tied up in my slip at the marina at the end of my fishing trip?
Would this be breaking any laws?
