Default Converting Lowrance to Hummingbird GPS

There's a tutorial on the electronics forum right now that gives details on how to convert Lowrance maps/points to Hummingbird. Also, if you own a HB unit it's on their PC page. Thumbs UpThumbs Up

I am not sure I understand what you are saying Doc. Can you explain in more detail?
I have both Lowrance and Humminbird units but I am unsure of what you are referring to.

I'm in the same boat with having both Lowrance and HB. Does this mean that you can convert Lowrance only maps over to HB? Or does it just refer to transfering over waypoints, trails, and routes? Has anyone tried this? I'm planning on doing a trail run here soon, but just wandering if anyone has done it. I would hate to mess up a good old Lowrance map chip trying to convert it to HB if that's not the intent of this convert process.

Thanks Shane. I had the feeling that's what it was for. From talking with Jack Baker, I think the map market is too competitive to allow conversion of maps.
