Default Just returned from an Awesome walleye trip in South Dakota

If anyone is looking for a good trip to fish for Walleye. Look into Lake Oahe South Dakota. I fished for three days with my wife and we caught around 150 Walleyes. The majority of the fish were just good eating size 16 to 18 inches but we caught several over 20 inches to include one at 25 inches around 6 pounds. We used a guide one day but it was not needed as we caught fish everywhere we went. The Pike and smallmouth were also huge and a great fight on an ultralight and four pound line. This was very inexpensive compaired to my trips to Minnesota and Canada in the past the week only cost us around $700 with gas being the greatest expence. Here are a few pictures.

That sounds and looks like it was a great trip, low cost is just an added bonus. I might have to get the details from you and make a power run up there on a 4 day weekend. Have boat, will travel... for just about any excuse.

Good job! Sounds like a great time. How were you fishing? Live bait? Jigs? Trolling, drifting or casting?
