Got to the spot at 5:30 am and began throwing a bullfrog colored torpedo, had a double blow-up near the boat that the fish somehow missed! No more love on topwater so I rigged up a 3" gulp minnow on a 1/8 oz jighead and on the second cast a big wiper engulfed it!!!
This morning totals were 4 channel catfish, 2 blue catfish, a very fat egg laden drum, 5 smallmouth bass, 7 white bass and the big wiper mentioned at the beginning of the story! All fish were caught on my Loomis 5'4" Mag-Light rod using the Gulp minnow!!!
The water is super clear... maybe due to the zebras???
