    Default Bait shop in Gardner

I read that there is a bait shop in Gardner that sells minnows by the pound. What is the name of this bait shop and where is it located in Gardner?
Also does anyone know what they are charging for a pound of minnows?

Dont know who sells them by the pound but the shell station is the worst minnow count and service I have ever had. If you find someone let us know.
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

Yes they charge by the pound.I got a 1/2 pound last Sunday for $18 and some change.Looked like 4 or 5 dozen maybe a little more.Although,I have had the same experience as duckman last year. They weigh them on a digital scale.Translation a pound of minners is alot.

Holy Smokes!! I am only paying $3.00 a dozen at the marina on Melvern and I probably get 3 dozen for each dozen I pay for!! I think Ill stick to paying for them by the dozen at that rate! There is normally approx 15-18 dozen in a pound so what you are getting for 1/2 pound is way too expensive for me!
Ill drive up to KC and go to Minnesota Bait and get them for that price and still me money ahead.

    Thanks for the info!

I used to buy them buy the lb. to stock a pond, and for $15 a lb there would be around 25 dz. but that was 7or8 yrs.ago. Price of everything is going through the roof!

The shell station on the south side of town sells by the pound now. I dont really recomend them. They are just convenient for me. Its about 5 something for 2 dozen minnows. Dont expect anything extra.

That's a shame about the shell station, I used to only buy my minnows there because of the generous counts they would give me. Guess I'll be finding them elsewhere now.
