    Default Kanopolis Saugeye/Walleye Bite

Has been very good at Kanopolis. Nothing real big but lots of keepers and lots of limits being taken. We were there all day Saturday and caught alot of fish just not enough keepers to limit out. We caught six between the two of us.....turns out my wife is starting to like this fishing business. Anyway, some good eating. The biggest we caught was 19. Several groups of 3 and four at the cleaning station with limits. One group waited till everyone left to clean theirs, they had a mess of them but wouldn't come up and clean till everyone was gone. Makes you wonder if they had some shorts????? Hit the flats dragging crawlers worked well. One ole boy was using gulp minnows and said they worked pretty well. My brother and law and his wife went through 8 dozen worms!! They ended up with 9. He said it was her fault they went through so many, said she missed too many fish. We went through 3 dozen ourselves. Anyway, hope this helps you walleye guys.

Thanks for the report. I wish it was a little closer to my home. Where you trolling or drifting?

We were just drifting but I don't think it mattered. There were several boats just anchored up and doing quite well and also some people trolling as well. It was somewhat of a zoo there were so many boats out there that anchoring up might of been the way to go. If you were drifting you really had to watch your back!

I'll bet it gets really crowded when they are biting like that.

    Sounds good!
