Lowrance Elite5x with DSI

The owners manual for the Elite5xDSI is the worst owners manual I've ever seen with a product. ever.
Nothing about how to operate the system, like zooming in, the pages etc.
Even the Lowrance web-site manual is no good either.
A static suppressor is in the transducer wiring package but nothing in the manual about connecting it to the 12 volt supply on the boat to reduce motor static. banghead Since the DSI should be best used at 3-10 MPH, why wouldn't it be mounted in the unit or connected on the power wires from the factory?
After I install the suppressor I'm going to give it a try this weekend to see what I've been missing with my regular sonar.
