Sounds like a great bunch of fish! That has to beat sitting in the house staring out the window!

I was really "Jonesing" for some ice fishing so I took my ice fishing equipment with me on our trip to visit the in-laws in Colorado! I met up with a couple of local guys that I met on another fishing forum and they showed me a great spot! Schooled me pretty good on the crappies the first day, catching at least 50 crappie and several huge bluegills along with a couple of largemouth bass and trout! I caught a couple of yellow perch( a first for me) a small white bass, a couple of nice 14" largemouth bass, and a small walleye( another first thru the ice)!!!
Day 2
I had to bust thru the snow drifts to get to the lake and I was first on the ice at 8:30 am! I hit "the spot" and everything was quiet for a bit but after jigging the waxworm tipped slender spoon a few times the Showdown lit up! The fish were suspended down between 10'-14' in 26ftw. They would all follow the spoon up but not hit so I switched to a small white jighead/waxworm and it was on! I caught and released around 15 crappie, and mix of about 40 bluegill, huge pumpkinseeds, bluegill/green sunfish hybrids, a couple of nice largemouth bass and a single yellow perch! It was cold with temps from 2 up to a warm 16 degrees that day!
