humminbird coordinates

I can not enter coordinate N38.93035 in my humminbird. It will only go up to N 38.5 wont go to 38.9. Any help would be appreciated

I think I know what the problem is. If it will only let you go to lets say 38.599...it could be in the wrong mode. One mode is decimal degrees and another is I think deg/min/secs.

For example 38.5000 in one mode is the same as 38/30/0. The first number stays the same .5 is read one half. Thus in the deg/min/sec it would be 30 because 30min is half an hour.

If that is the problem go to gps settings and change the mode to decimal degrees. Hope this helps.

I'm very limited on GPS way points formats. Just know there are various formats that can be used and that a given way point format must match your device when entering info. Also most devices allow you to choose or change the way point format you want to use.

There are various format converters on the net that one can use to enter one format and convert it to another format. This is one of several that I've seen on the net. GPS Latitude and Longitude Converter

Problem solved, It was in the gsp settings. Thanks for the help
