Computer crashed again, time for a new Commodore 64! But haven't needed one either!! Been fishing around my neck of the woods, went to Glen-crappie, lots of em. Went to Wilson-walleye, some big ol sows, but still deep. Kanopolis-saugy's, going pretty good, last night sucked, got rained on, then pelted with hail, then some kind of sleetlike snowballs, fishing was dismal. They were off the deep breaks, suspended 20' plus, and you needed a grenade to bring one up. I'll remember this crappy day and grow from it. But hey, at least the forecast is gonna be consistent, something to put a pattern together on. Buddies further west been begging me to come up, I'm sorry, but right now I've just got to many lakes. Haven't hit Marion lately, I've seen more 10#'s come from there as anywhere, should be plenty of crappie and the whites are up the river there right now!! Fished the Grove Monday, not that good of day 2 crappies but they are the best shaped crappies I've seen. Flat smoke Glen's almost 2X thicker. Well If ya want to go send me a pm and give me a few days to answer. Good luck and flush your livewells, they smell fishy.Thumbs Up

It's alive again!!! I don't know squat about computers, but I got this one going again. Some kind of internal short. Fished Kanop again yesterday, same as last time, I've been catching some really nice channels around the brush and that's it!! But my time of day has been all wrong also, gotta go when you can go. And Jawz, Wilson is a beautiful body of water and the wallys aren't bad either. It's also full of smallies, and plenty of them, can't miss 'em look for the flat arches. They've been so thick around Minooka that I quit fishing there.

Doc do the smallies in Wilson have any size?
Huntcapn, I've found the best Smallies in Wilson bite better in the fall, but that's just my experience, and then, yes, there are some nice Smallies to be caught.

Nice pics RorEye, and another thing, you could leave the boat home and fish the boat ramps this time of year. They're stacked around just about all of them, I think it's because they're waiting to follow guys around. But those pics are pretty much run of the mill. Last time I fished Minooka Middle ramp area I couldn't keep those smallies away. Most fish are 2-4lbs with some bigger. There's just so dog-gone many!!!!

those are nice pics...thanks for the info guys...
Thanks. That day I did keep two to eat, though I typically will not kill a bass, but we boated something around 30-40 Smallmouth that day- all on the surface around cabbage beds= hay day. Hey Doc, I have to haul the boat up or I can't keep up with the big schools of whites and stripers! LOL!
Well, since we're off-topic now, them whites at Wilson are most lakes wipers. Except for Glen, throw the panfish saying out up there, them whites get to 5# with 4# being somewhat common. Now thems some whites!!! I played striper king quite a bit early through the ice, best classes in 7-8yrs. I've also seen more LMB outta Wilson this last year than I can honestly remember. Wondering how the walleye bite is on the dam with the mussels covering the rocks nowadays. Good luck
