well i think you need to try and place a sickle hook into them and see if it closes properly that is the only way you will know for sure

the sickle hooks tend to be longer ( taller ) in the upright leg than other hooks. but don't worry, if the hooks eyelet doesn't fit into the recess, then all ya gotta do is take a dremel tool and a little round ball bit and grind the recess out a little longer. be carefull and don't let the bit walk all over the place tho. have also heard of guys putting a hook in there and wacking the mold with a hammer. lol and this causes the hook to make its own indentations. not sure I would do that tho.

I use size 2 and 4 in the Ball Head Mold for 1/16 and 1/32 with collar and no collar, They also fit in my Pony Head Mold with assorted sizes. The size 4 fit in the Horsehead mold for 1/32 but had some trouble with size 2 in the
1/16th mold. The minnow head mold with collar also accepts both sizes.

Now in another thread by laserdoc, questions were raised about the sickles as some had found defects in some of the points, eyes not fully closed and different lenghts between the eye and the initial bend. Laser brought all these descrepancies to the owner of sickle hooks and he's looking into it.

Even if you buy them and sort through and make sure they fit in the molds your using the one's that won't may fit in another one.

This is what I've been doing and it works for now. Hopefully the quality control comes up and they all fit no matter what, we will see. But don't let that stop you from trying them.
