If cost is not a big deal just buy some Dave's Flexament. It is a bit thick and works well on thread, but I don't use it on chenille jigs.

Also if you make your own I probably would put it in plastic bottles and would use glass.

Skip what type of glue would you recommend for faster absorbtion on thread after you finish tying?

Those are some fantastic tyes. They will definitely do damage to the crappie and gill populations in your area or anywhere for that matter.Coooool.

Think this answers my question I asked from the eye thread about your bodies. They hold up very well, never have tried to coat the whole thing with nail polish, my flex stuf does not coat ANYTHING like that. Gonna give it a go. Thanks!

Len, I am using Wapsi's Flex-Seal, bought from Jann's, and it soaks into the thread very fast and is dry in seconds.

I dig the jigs Ledhed. Those should do the trick. Also enjoyed the Cap Spider video. I think you would have a tough time separating bluegill from crappie if you fillet them. Tastes the same to me! Nice job.

The tail in these jigs are marabou fluffs - they are way easier to use when you are tying lite jigs. I marry two feathers together, cut to length, and tie the feathers on. I like the way they flare out - really breathes in the water.
