I don't know crap about powder paint?

I got some red powder and white powder. If I mix them equally, do I get pink powder? Works with house paint.

I have done this many a time. It works very well and cures nicely. I start of with 2 parts white to 1 part red and then check the color. For different shades I add a "Smidgeon" of red at a time until the perfect pink is reached.


The same is true if you mix the blue and flourescent yellows. You can get some nice "Lime Chartreuse."

Powder has extremely good shelf life. You can store your samples of mixed colors in medicine bottles and write your formula for mixing it on it with file folder labels. Easier to replicate, modify, and duplicate them again.

I mix all kinds of colors together. Its fun to get out of ordinary colors. Also mix in glitters of all colors. I use the clear sometimes just to put a little glitter on the lures. I also use some of the pigments to make colors more brilliant. I also mix pigments together then after i get them to the color I need, I will mix that with clear powder and I have the powder in the color I need.

Sometimes you have to mix - had to make my own olive. Have a couple of other colors that I have come up with that nobody else has: Black diamond dust - holo pearl white - holo candy red..

You can mix different manufacturer’s paint with each other as well.

Add white to lighten your mix and black to darken.

To Ships point: write down you mix ratio, somewhere!!!! Nice to have recipes.

Use the back of a spoon and a pane (preferably safety) glass to mash and mix the paint and a plying card for a scoop.

Blending colors is another aspect of creating custom lures.

You mean there is something in this world that you don't know anything about. after reading your posts in the electronics board I had come to believe that you and Flatfish46 were the keepers of all knowledge. If it is advice on custom color powder paint combinations you seek you really need to talk to Flatfish46. There are alot of people on this site that can help you but he plays around with color like you play around with ohms/volts/resisters and other things electric. Trust me....talk to him...he speaka da language well............brim
