Well let's see what we can come up with.
Make it look like a leech. Try for a flat profile with some sort of swimming action at least inferred in the design. Add a specific noticeable stripe or spots if you can but keep the colors dark.



Just an example, I don't know how or if we will pick a winner but someone has to pick the next theme. Let's run this one until the 20th unless that isn't long enough. Post pictures of your creations.

This is not a swap, it is just to create something that you might not have done before and get you to think. No need to make 20 of them to send out. Still make 5-10 thought just in case they do catch fish. :D

That stuff is hallow Larva Lace body material, it is round but the crochet flattens it out a little. I actually have solid round now so it will keep a higher profile for mors scent or whatever.
