what a day raining lightening sunshine and rain again now 30 mph plus wind gusts with all that I still did manage to get some fish not what I really wanted but it was a good start. Will try again in the morning if the winds ease up.

Got a fair amount of gill and only one crappie ( disappointing but there is tomorrow)

Good job! I've been out 4 times now and not done that well combined. When those winds got here today, I was out on the river going after sm. mouth in a flannel shirt and baseball cap. Temps dropped to the 40's and was bout froze by the end of my lunch break. 2 smallies and a carp made it worth it though!

Howe big is dem der gills? Looks like some nice ones unless the crappie is a bit on the small side. I would be ecstatic if I caught that many fish in my local lake, period, gills, crappie, perch or whatever.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
