Barlow's are good was right. I just bought a few of them and they are a good color. I still would have liked a little lighter blue, but these are light enough.

Thank you who ever that was?

Skip, show a picture of the lt.blue kiptail and I'll see if I can't dye a lighter shade.I have an aqualon blue dye which is like a sky blue when dry.For lighter shades I just take it out of the dye earlier. They are always lighter once they are dry.Color is like the silver doctor only lighter in color.

Yes it is. I usually use it as a feather though. Jig is Silver/Fl Yellow/Blue.

I have a bunch of the squirrel tails too and like them ok, but still I remain mostly a feather guy.

The only thing with the tree rats as you call them, LOL, I don't like is there is always dark or black still showing and that is cool for a variant look, but not for a solid color. I have tied some squirrel tail jigs and like them, just don't think I have passed them by the crappie yet.

    Nice job dyeing you tails!
