Not sure since I havent tried my luck at making jig but will here shortly. But maybe something a little courser or heavier that would just give the claws a little bit more body.
Not that I know what I am taking about, but just seems the claws should be a point of focus on the jig, they should stand out more and I also agree they should be on the other end of the jig so that when you move the jig the claws move upward
Here is a picture of one of Black Crows jigs perhaps feather like on this jig would work for claws

Excellent tie!!! Only would tie a couple with the silicone legs laying Over rather than Under....just my take on it. Just for the sake of experimentation to see if there's a difference in the catch rate. With the silicone on top, might get a tad more dangling action in the movement department. Great profile and colors. You may also like to tie a couple with the silicone coming out of the tail itself. Great job!
About claws, I've found for smallies, tying rabbit hair jigs,
they aren't needed even in a basic craw pattern.....might make it look more vulnerable without. Just an opinion.....Good Fishing, Mac
