well ive been doing some more so what yall think these are from the first dozen ive ever done

IF they're not baked yet clean out the eyes before you do, and it looks like they weren't hot enough on some of them or too cool on others to get a good layer for baking, unless you have the powder that gives a layered look.

Keep trying and practicing we all had to get past the learning curve on powder.

the yellow the pink and the dark blue at the bottom all have glitter in them so they do have a textured finish

That explains the look ok. But you really need to clean the eyes cause if you dont' and bake it's a pain to clean them.

I file all the spurs off of the jigs, make them round and smooth - minimizes lumps on the jig when you paint. looks like you are doing the fluff and stuff - might want to think about a fluid bed - yeah something else to buy or make....

Make sure the powder paint is stirred up and fluffy,it makes it easier to dip.After about 8-10 jigs stir the paint and fluff it a bit.With the glitter in it it seems to settle quicker.Try covering the hook eye with your hemostats and that should keep paint out of your eyes,although after a bit you'll need to scrape the paint off the hemos.

Mudbug, take some forceps and hold the jig by the eye as you dip it in the powder paint. Now just after dippin give the forceps a couple of light taps with your other hand and it will knock off the excess paint. When you release the jig the eye will be clean and will not have excess powder. Much easier than trying to clean that powder paint out them eyes.

ya if u can clean out the eye hole before you cure the paint trust me paint in the eyes after curing is a big big pain in the butt, but if u already cures the use a lighter and a pick to clear the eyes out
