I'm a little confused. Is it designed FOR bluegills, or is it designed to IMITATE bluegills?

Also, what's the weight and hook size?

Man AW that thing looks so big I thought it may bite me, LOL! Just kidding here.

How big are they? The look huge, but then I guess looking at what is holding them they must be smaller than they appear. Now for me I like just a small ball head especially for bluegill. Nothing wrong with yours I am sure and this is just personal taste. I have actually thought about adding some jig heads that are more of a fish head shape much like these, but larger, like 1/16 and up to 1/8.

However if small like I think then the colors should catch them. Let me add one thing for you to think about. I use a perch trap somethings to catch bait for cats, well I use to and would just use a trap and for bait a piece of Styrofoam with tin foil wrapped around it and that thing will fill up in no time. I say this, I think if I want to make some perch jigs that have any kind of flash it would have some silver in it. Just FYI for what it's worth.

    Good Job!

Multiple applications.... it can be used to imitate a bluegill. Or it can be tied up to catch bluegills. And these have done both very well.

The fat one will be 1/16 oz. when we make them with a #4 hook. The tiny one will be 1/48 oz. with a #6 hook (but we also might use a #4 on it too).

Skip (et al).... I've updated the first post in this thread to include a picture of the two jigs along with a ruler.
