    Default Terminal Tackle question ?

Tried using loop knots and they worked excellent for jigging. Only problem is tedious retie when changing jigs for different size, color or type. These 61 year old eyes just don't work as good as they used to.

So I been making up leaders with a no-knot snap. They seem to hold the jig regardless of size perfect. Only drawback so far is when leader gets into snap. These were designed for fly fishing but looked like the answer to me.

I am using the smallest size and it does take me a little time to switch. It still is faster than re-tying though. Using 6lb test - 2 lb diameter crystal ice line for leader. Think I am going to try this in the open water too.

    Anybody else use these ?

i use sometimes. Of course prefer the loop knot but like u say...age+wind+boat traffic+ makes more sense each yr to use more. I normally tie the snap on the line and the jig there rather than making the leaders tho.
