On a solid color body, what method do you guys use to put black stripes on it? I'm not talking about variegated chenille, because that only produces a smooshed up random mix of say black/white. The 'look' I want is 2-3 clean black stripes from front to back, instead of a circular black ring around the body. I particularly like white bodies with black stripes, but of course the effect is nice on any light color body.

I've tried India ink and black Sharpies but I'm never quite satisfied with the result because the ink wicks out & spreads too far, while the Sharpie roughs up the chenille and won't penetrate deep enough.

Any suggestions?
