    Default Inexpensive drying rack

As a newbie I hate to suggest anything but I had an idea that worked out pretty good for me. I was using foam blocks to let my jigs dry. I had a small magnet bar and let a few jigs dry on it.. That gave me the idea to order two 18 inch magnetic knife holder racks. As each bar had two magnetic strips on them I had four dryers.

The biggest jig I tie is 1/32 oz so I have plenty of room. Also makes a nice pick up tool when some dummy upsets his hook or jig box. Since I am the only one out there we know who the dummy is.

Post a picture for us so we can see. When you say drying rack, what is drying?

I use a oven baking rack for the oven curing and I use some little white coated wire things my wife picked up at some store like Walmart for hanging my tied jigs on. Let me find a pic...

See the little white rack on the right side (from this view) of my tying station? Also use 2 other next to them. There are 2 of the shorter ones.

Yes, as Skip said, please post a pic. Also, just because you're new doesn't mean you can't have good ideas. If you've got one....please share. That's what this site is about!

I use the same racks but without the plastic coating. I use them to cure my powder paint in the oven. I love magnets for things and use them for my exacto blades. Never thought of using them for fish hooks. Might even magnetize them so they attract fish.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

The only problem with hooks getting magnetized is I have some trouble now with my hemo's that I use have picked up some magnetizing effect and every time I do small head 1/32 & smaller they don't want to come out easy.

Also I have some at my tying bench and every time I drag them across the hooks in my little space in my tying station they get pulled out on to the floor.

I have been looking for a demagnetizer I know that I use to have just to get rid of that.

Picture of what I am using to let glue and paint dry on my jigs. It is also handy as a holder when painting eyes on jigs.

I have not mounted them to tying station as I like to keep them mobile for other uses.
