    Still think my tails are a little long. I try to make them the lengthtof the jig. But I hate just using the tips of hackle and then having so much left over. I try to make these so they will flutter on the fall like a minnow

    Look like Mahi Mahi jigs. Should blind side the crappie for sure.

    As for the marabou, You may be more use out of it if you cut on the stem. That gives you clean tips for the next jig. Is what I do when I have long ones.
    I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

    Like those color combos. Skips got a video on here showing you how to cut your hackle into small "V's", then you dont waste any of the hackle. Thats how I learned, cut a bunch of them out then stack 3 or 4 together and tie them on. Good lookin jigs .
