Coupla questions for you guys...

First question - Size:
Do you tend to favor certain jig weights in winter vs spring vs summer fishing? For example, in the old days (:rolleyes before I started tying my own jigs, I used heavier jigs - 1/8 oz - in the winter time cause I was was fishing deeper depths. I switched to lighter jigs, 1/16 and 1/32 oz, for the spring and summer. I like the slower fall and bounce of the lighter jigs in warming and warm water. I like the steadiness of a heavy jig in deep water.

Second question - Color:
Do you favor certain colors in winter vs spring vs summer? I use more high-contrast combos (black/chart, blue/chart, red/white, red/chart) in the winter. I use more solids and white/chart, white/white, pink/white in spring and summer. I always thought that the higher the contast the better for fishing deeper water and brighter days. Don't get me wrong, the high contast works great all year. I just believe the solids and lighter colors work well in spring and summer.

Anyway, I was just wondering these couple things in case I need to start building my jig inventory in the direction of certain weights and colors.
