    Default What Kind Of Flash?

This will be my first mail in/internet order to a regular flyshop, usually I go to Cabela's or Jann's Netcraft and just pick up what I see that I like and don't pay much attention to product names or styles. :o Stuff comes out of the package and into plastic boxes once home. Either place is over an hour drive and dont see myself getting there, so I have a question about flash to go in with the tail maribou.

I want the very thin stuff, maybe little larger diamater than thread, kinda hologram. What would this be called? Midge Flash (Krystal Flash) - Flashabou Accent. There are a few more but those look the closest to what I want. What do you guys use?

I forgot to mention, I will be ordering from Jann's if that helps with any names that may come up. They also sell Grizzly Flashabou Accent, 5 colors but none of them the color I am looking for.

Thanks MudBug, unfortunatley Jann's doesn't sell that type. They're located in Ohio so that is one big reason for me using them.

If it's crinkled then you want krystal flash. If it's like Christmas tree tinsel, you want flashabou.

I think Barlow's has it and it is called Holographic flat tinsel and you want the small. I am pretty sure this is what you are looking for.

Thanks everyone! Yeah it's not cheap, but I do like it, you can blend it in with the marabou and looks good. A little goes a long way too. Order is going out in the morning, 1-pearl and 1-light blue.

Got started on it buying some clearance tube jigs that had this stuff intead of plastic. They sat near the bottom of my box for quite awhile until I looked at the material in a new light. Now I love it!

Thanks again, and next time I'm there, I swear I'll pay attention! :D Just too much stuf...........
