eye dotter???

Is anyone familiar with an eye dotter used for painting jigheads???
I just won a adhesive/paste dispenser off of ebay for .99 plus shipping($16.95) so i had to buy it. Id like info on needle sizes and air pressure used.

Needle size and air pressure depends on the paint you use. I use "yellow" and "brown" size tips (don't remember what the ID's are) and anywhere from about 8lbs to 25lbs, depending on what I'm dispensing. You may call the manufaturer and ask for a few tip samples. Our eye dotter also has a dispense time control.

Just guy your self a cheap set of drill bits with a flat end and use the flat end to make you eyes. Use one about half the first one to make the pupil. Don't need a big set either.

fastest one to make is to take a nail and cut the head off with a dremel tool. Use the cut end for the large part of the eye and use the nail point for the pupil....

Yep, most use acrylic or vinyl, lacquer may work too but it may be too runny.

Paint has to be acrylic, vinyl, lacquer, or enamel...not powder. If u have powder paint on the jigs, the enamel seems to be the best for me.

I use pieces of quarter inch dowels, shapened in a pencil sharpener to different diameters. I kept one without sharpening, the next is two cranks smaller, then 4, 6, 8 and so on until one piece is sharp. Easy to use and cheap.

I like to use wooden shish-k-bob skewers you can get a pack of 100 at wally world for a couple of bucks and cut them off and make what ever size eye you want too. They are pointed on one end and flat on the other they work great!!!
