Prowler it depends upon the waters your fishing and what size bait or species of bait their feeding on at the moment I'd say though I catch more fish on a 1/16 with a #4 hook than anything with the hook open set ,but now that I've used sickles I'll go with those on the 12/20/08 my grandson and I fished in some pretty tough weather they shut down , but by slip rigging with 1/2 oz barrels and using 1/60 oz. jigs I offered them easy prey and picked up 11 more fish its very important to have a assortment of every color that works for you in 3 or 4 sizes this is only My opinion ,but with the constant changing weather here in Texas they dont bite the same thing 2 days in a row!
