Default Bad fly shop, A word of caution

So it's been well over a month(11/7/08) now since I placed my first and last order with TCO flyshop. I only ordered a few things, a stacker, some dub, roll of thread, about $20 worth. It has taken them since Nov 7th, a dozen emails and 2 phone calls (1 from the owner, apologizing) More than month later I finally get a part of the order, my dub, then the thread, and finally a stacker I didn't even order. I emailed them back and was assured the new stacker was on it's way via UPS, that was days ago. I give up, they aren't going to pull through for me, it's already cost them twice the value of the order THEY screwed up. So if you are considering dealing with TCO, think about this thread.

    Default Thank you

I'm sorry to hear you had to go through the fustration of a mess like that............
Tough times out there. Unfortunately we may see more of this in the future. I'm sure many smaller places are struggling to keep going.
I haven't done business with this place and won't chance it. Thanks again, ole Mike

Thanks for the heads up my friend....nobody in here wants to go through that kind of crap when there are so many other places that seem to be on the ball. I went to a place in Hiram Ga. the other day called Natures tackle box. The owners Mr and Ms. Lester seem to be really nice people and the mister is in to tying jigs. They have a pretty good selection of jig tying stuff and Ms Christie said that they are getting alot more stuff after the first of the year after inventory time. They have a Wal Mart across the street and a K mart next door to them so they have some very stiff competition. They are not the cheapest place in the world but this is truely a mom and pop shop with nice personable folks. I am sure they would appreciate your buisness....call them sometime...678-567-1211 hours are mon.-fri. 10 to 7 and sat. 9 to 2 [email protected]. In these days of the "super stores" they are a pleasent change of pace....They sell alot of Jackall and luckycraft stuff too...punisher jigs...etc. lol no I don't get a commission but they are nice people trying to fill a small niche...brim

Thanks for the heads up, I'd rather hear about it then get burned by it.

Most small shops can order what you want too. I'd much rather give them the business even if I have to pay a little more.
