    Default Weedless jighead molds?

Can anyone tell me, can you make a non weedless jighead in a weedless jig mold? My dad has been wanting some molds and stuff to make his own jigheads, and he likes both kinds. I am planning on getting him what he needs, but not sure if it's necessarry to buy both molds or not. Any advice would be great.

Yes you can some people cast the whole thing then cut the flashing off where the weed guard goes then they stick the flashing back in the mold or you can fill this area with a heat putty then conture it to blend to the ball head and cast like this hope this was some help!

I guessed that was the case, but wanted to be sure. I'm too lazy to mold my own, I just buy from crappie.com members and save myself the time and aggrivation. Thanks for the help. I'm gonna go on and order the stuff now.

You can mod the molds and use them to make both or buy seperate molds which is way expensive. Or save for the mold and buy jigheads from the guys here that you don't have a mold for still saves you money.

    Default caulking

How about filling the weedgaurd hole with high-temp silicone caulking? It's non-sticking, and should be easy to trim / mold to fit. Then take the molded silicone out, if it's not needed. Return it during storage. 2¢

or use some clay...that works good as well. If you are using the weedless that takes a wire guard, you can put a piece of stainless steel wire in the slot and after the jig comes out the stainless will come out. You can use the jig regular or glue in a piece of mono or braided cable for a weed guard
