Got the idea after adding foam strips to some jigs for dock shooting. The idea was to try and get them to fall slower, but it also reminded me of a bluegill fly I tie. The fly is tied with a material that sinks, but the craft foam here should slow the fall.
Started with a 1/32oz head with the barb cut off. (I had to use barbed heads since I didn't have anymore small collarless)
Tie in a strip of craft foam at the bend.
Take the thread back to the haed followed by the foam. once the foam is up to the haed, tie it off and add some glue. Easy as pie.
A few of them I have added some "legs" to for the added excitement.
