Matzuo Hooks....AAAUUUGGGHHH!!!

I use 2 kinds of hooks on my jigs....VMC in the regular 90 degree light wire gold and Matzuo sickle hooks. In my last order of 1000 Matzuo it seems 1 out of 15 is a bad hook or the wrong hook. I love these hooks, but their quality control is lacking.......badly. A lot of the problems are in the bend. Some bends are way long, some short, some not bent at all.

Anyone else run into this?

I run into it all the time.Sometimes the counts are much worse than you have run in to.

bought about 600 at least a year ago, and they were okay, except a few bends. thanks for the heads up, I can't stand that mess. I bought some sohumi hooks a couple years ago, and they were very very sharp, but the size 8 hooks had alot of short legs on them, something like 40%. and they wouldn't fit in the mold because of it. but the size 4's and 6's were decent but still had a few.

I had 1:100 bad. Small problem can resolved with some thick Ca.

1 out of 15 dang i get maybe 2 out of 100 and last time i got some was 12000 of them
