do-it cnc molds

Another question to the powers that know. How is the quality on these cnc made do-it molds? Thinking about getting a 1/64 oz. and maybe a 1/80 oz. the shawn collins mold I have is awsome but theres been talk of a significant backlog, and I don't think my patience could handle that. How long does it take for barlows to get a cnc mold to ya? Just a thought that keeps runnin thru my mind. that crappie keith really started something!
p.s. I don't want ya'll to think I'm gonna go into business sellin these things, I really have no desire to do that at all, I pretty much givem to my close freinds and use them myself.

unless your wanting odd size hooks I get my 1/64 and 1/80 jigs through chuckanddebs.com the have very good shipping and good prices as well I pour a lot of jigs but just leave the smaller ones to them, you may have to use internet explorer to view their site but they are worth checking out

thanks for the heads up on chuckanddebs site, it looks like just what I need, and for hooks too.

When pouring that small a jig head you better have some really pure lead, or be using non lead as it's tough to pour wheel weight lead that small. I only go down to 1/32 and buy the rest let someone else deal with the hassle.

Plus when you get into the professional grade mold with DO-IT your looking at $100 plus and if you alter the mold forget about sending it back.

the reason for me thinking about doing it myself, is controlling the sharpness of the hook that goes into it. can ya'll by chance tell me how sharp the hooks are on the premade 1/64 oz. ballhead no collar jigheads that chuck and debs puts out. I know you can't beat the price. also the 1/80 oz. heads too.

thanks for the info. I tried some 1/90 oz. hair jigs a couple times this last couple days that had a transparent pink paint head and black hair, and also a hot yellow head and white hair, these aren't getting any bites in this warm weather. Is the 1/80 or 1/90 jig strictly a cold water proposition as far as producing? the 1/32 with an 8 hook seems to work well now, 2 1/2 foot under a bobber or maybe more in deeper water. I'm just thinking I need to add the 1/64 to my arsenal anyway. what do yall think?

When it comes to the two..1/64 or 1/80. I will take the 1/64. I catch alot of fish on a 1/64. I pour them both but very seldom ever use or have any calls for the 1/80. I guess it has alot to do with what you like to use and have confidence in too. If you think it will work, you will try it longer, until it works. Thus building confidence and you will use that size more often. I will tell yea something about the ultra molds in the smaller sizes....lol. THEY WILL MAKE YOU MAD from time to time..lol. I have started to throw mine out the shop window more than once...lol....it humbles a man when he has to go get a 130.00 mold out of the creek...

I use 64 in summer and has woked well for me . I usally only pull out the 80 or even 100 in winter threw the ice those sizes are killer.
