Painting jig heads

Hello

I usally buy my jig heads allready painted from Grousefly but I came across a deal I could'nt pass up on some unpainted heads. My question is I'm looking for a cheap but Good(I want the paint to last ) Way of painting the heads without having to mess with to many chemicals and having to invest in alot of equipment. Thanks in advance for any help. Oh I seen onhere someone uses testors model paint with a epoxy finish how well doe this work?

Joe,

The testors paint with epoxy over it works really well. If you're using flourescent colors make sure to have a base coat of white.

I use either vinyl jig paint or powder coat paint. The powder paint is the easiest to use. Just heat the head ( I use an alcohol burner ) and dip into powder for 3-4 seconds. Place on rack in oven for 20 minutes. It's done. Once it's cured in the oven it's rock hard.
No mess to clean up.

I usually don't paint my jigs.I started using powder paint'seems to work well.

Yeah I agree on the powder idea I guess I could price it out but I'm thinking after buying the colors I like a toaster oven burner and whatever Else I need it could get spendy. I don't sell my jigs I usally just give them away to people who will use them and just let me know what they caught. So I don't really want to spend alot. Any tips are really helpful thanks you guys for all the replies so far .

You have the right idea. I too use a toaster oven in my workshop to cure the powder paint jig heads. I just hang them right on the racks.
Of course I have a fridge in my workshop so if I and my 2 yr. old tying pal need a snack, we can heat it up in the toaster oven.

You keep something beside beer and worms in your shop reefer? I thought that was illegal.
