I am going to have to agree with Skip on this one, I too, like the longer tails on a jig or fly. If you look at the bait fish or a minnow for instance, it does not just all of a sudden stop. It tapers down to it's tail. I feel that a slightly longer tail gives the jig more action in the water. MORE ACTION MEANS MORE FISH....It is like other things in life, THE MORE IT (SHAKES) THE MORE YOU NOTICE IT.....:eek:
I like it. I've been doing some fly conversions myself.

My memory is going south. I found the guy's card It was Kit Harrison, down close to Sam Rayburn. Texas Sidewinder rods. I think he does some crappie
guiding , but I could be wrong there also.

Well Sam Rayburn is only about 25 miles from me. I do understand the memory thing though, LOL! Sam Rayburn is a little smaller than Toledo Bend, but is a really beautiful lake too. I fished both for many years, but when it came down to moving here I just didn't want to be living on Rayburn because you can't have a boat dock/house on that lake.Quote:
