    Default Vise Height!

Is there any standard height for a tying vice from the top of work table to vise jaws or is it an individual choice?

I would think that would be personal choice.

I think mostly what ever is comfortable for you. I know if I have mine too high it kills my shoulder and if it's too low I tend to lean over some making my neck and upper back hurt.

I have mine at the height of a standard computer desk. The slide out mounting area makes it comfortable to the height of the chair I sit in. Again, it is what makes you comfortable.

Whatever makes it comfortable for you!! If you sit too low or too high you can get a really sore back from leaning over or forcing yourself to sit up too much. Tying is supposed to be relaxing not painful.
