I was pointed here by BleuGhill after a post he made on another website looking for some materials. I have read through a number of posts and I'm definitely impressed with the ingenuity and creativity of those hand tying their own jigs. I wish I had stumbled on this forum a few years ago. I had to gleen some techniques from the fly fishers (clousers are jigs right?)

A little about me I guess would be in order. I live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida and fish mostly inshore for snook, redfish and speckled trout. I also fish from a kayak and made the journey to Lake Tarpon to try my hand at crappie fishing. This crappie fishing will be a challenge I see and looking forward to trying the methods and techniques that have been posted here as well as a few of the jigs that BleuGhill kindly sent to me.

I’m looking forward to learning from those who generously post their ideas and creations.
