    Default Ribbed Body Material?

Just curious if anyone has ever tried to use VINYL STRETCH LACE or V-RIB which is the translucent plastic nymph ribbing in place of CHENILLE when tying a crappie jig?

IN PLACE OF chenille? If I'm understanding you correctly, that would result in a very thin-bodied jig. If that's what you want, though, go for it.

But I've never done that or seen it done.

I have used nursing gloves cut into strips when making an imitation wax worm for bluegills, but never on my crappie jigs. I guess I'm old fashioned and stick to the marabou and chenille because it works so well.
