TK, check out the 2 sites I put at the end of the post that you quoted. Like radtexan said, you can get 72 yard skeins of lots of different colors. I think they're a few dollars more than $8 though, but if you use a lot of one color, it's worth it.

3 places I go is Cabelas, Barlows, and Janns. I think Barlows might have the widest variety.
I placed an order with Barlows. I just hope they don't sit on this order like they did they last one.
I wish I had read about this Barlows place before I bought some stuff on Ebay.
