A friend is helping me learn some new techniques and thought I would share a few picture I took on one fly so far. It's just too humid and hot to do the rest now, but will get the rest done later. This is a rope dubbed fly.
Anyway all 3 pictures are of the same fly, but the first picture is just in regular lighting and the other 2 are done under a Black Light.
Enjoy!

love the green color
excellent job skip you learn fast. You did a good job on this fly you were making me jealous. You're making me want to tie trout flies again that fly looks to be awesome for her bluegills I'm sure that it will be a killer. And it definitely is very interesting in a different light.

Love those parachute flies. I tied a lot of them at one time. Never caught anything on them but hope to change that this year. I really like the attention you paid to the chute, is over looked too often and is a vital part to a properly presented fly at times.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
Real nice work Skip. What size?

Thanks guys, but I am still working on learning this technique and I didn't tie this one so sorry to not be clear on that. Don tied it and a bunch of others for me as go by to look at. He tied a bunch of Roadrunners I sent him too to show what I can do with this.
On the size I am not sure, but looks like maybe a #8 or #10, but will find out soon as he kept pictures to talk with me about them. I am getting a web cam so he will teach me on this new stuff while watching what I do. I am pretty excited about this as he's been tying for like 50 years and is very good as you see. Soon I will be doing this stuff too.
