MAILING Jigs, best way?

I hand tied some jigs, mainly for myself, family and friends, sell a few some years LOL. These are usually 1/16 oz freestyle with eyes. It seems I cannot mail them for less than around $6, they say they are too thick?

any help/advice/hacks would be greatly appreciated!

Hey buddy, we have the same problem here I put like three dozen jigs in a bag and it cost me $12.95 because I can’t downsize and put them in a smaller container but then it still cost me seven dollars to mail them across the US or the smaller so the postage is killing me.

I mail mine usps and most of the ones I recieve from others use them too. Flat rate boxes mostly. Ups ground could be cheaper but can take 3 weeks last time I checked them out.

You can buy slightly discounted shipping labels from postage resellers like Pirate Ship, but the lowest price you're going to get is around $5. The good news is you can ship a lot of 1/16 oz before you hit the 4oz cutoff for the next rate increase.

There's no way to go lower, unfortunately. Either charge more for shipping or try to incentivize people to buy more per order.

USPS raised fees a couple weeks ago, 0-4oz is now $5.35 i think with paypal discounts, $6+ at post office.

The cheapest is when you print your own labels. I use Shipstation through paypal. One option is without tracking and insurance for under $3 for a 4 oz. padded mailer. First class with shipping and tracking for about $5. Rates just keep going up. I started selling jigs on ebay in 2004 and back then a padded mailer under 4 oz. was $.40. About 1200% increase in a little over 20 years.
