They are heavier and harder than lead. The 1/32 heads actually weigh 1/24 on these. It feels different on the end of the rod while bouncing it, thump is felt better. The ones I painted I had to heat a couple seconds longer but they turned out nice. At least heads don't fall off if you heat it too long like lead.
Tungsten, iron, nickel, and an adhesive all in powder form. Its put into a mold and pressure formed to make the jig heads.
They are much more dense than lead, which means they are smaller in size than an equal weight of lead. A 1/16 sized head in lead is 1/16 but that same physical sized piece of tungsten is 3/32oz. So you can have heavier jigs in the same physical sized baits.
Tungsten, being smaller, will fall with less water resistance than lead. So if you have a 1/16 lead head and a 1.75g (1/16) tungsten head, the tungsten head will feel like you are fishing a heavier jig than you are used to. It will fall faster and jig faster than equal weights of lead.
Its also 45 times the price currently
These jigs all come with wire keepers for plastics. I pinch them down before tying them but kept some plain in case I might want to use plastics. Over $1.50 for a 1/32 jig but there is a market for them. They were selling them pretty good at the sport show last week.

I like using tungsten for my micro jigs . Smaller heads in sizes I can cast without adding additional weight.
I buy the tungsten fly tying beads and match them up with my favorite hooks .
I use size 10 jighooks , but go down as small as a size 12 in a streamer hook .
