Mystery Hair?

Maybe someone can help me? I tie my own jigs most of the time. I usually buy what it called the Black Lake hair jig and have had a lot of success in using these jigs. However the original maker of these jigs does not tie anymore and it has been turned over to another person who does not tie as well. (Thread comes unraveled easily). I have to use a drop of super glue or like material to keep the unraveling in check. I have tried to find out what kind of hair is used but to no avail. I used bucktail and kiptail but they seem a little stiff and do not do as well. The hair I'm looking for is a synthetic fine hair that "floats" when jigging in the water. Can anyone help me? Suggestions is greatly appreciated.
