Squirrel Abominations

I have started tying some jigs using coon tail,as well as squirrel tail.

Those jigs look really good...

Same, I've never has squirrel but maybe one of these days that'll change. My grandparents and great grandma used to have squirrel quite a bit but they weren't hunting much when I came along.

I cook squirrel in a slow cooker using a Swiss steak recipe. Very tasty. Even making the gravy is easy.

I’ll have to try this with lots of shrooms in the gravy. 2 weeks left in season.

One of the ingredients! Get some. Too cold here right now. Breeding season should start soon.

I hadn't considered coon tail, do you have any photos? I do tie with squirrel though, I may try coyote too.
