Who manufactures the hackle hair and does it have another name? I can't find it. Looks like great tail material.

Loose neck hackle is what you want. It wont sound like a lot, i think its 1/2 oz bags but theres a ton of feathers in there... They are as light as a... Feather...
If you just want to use the "sprigs" and not the whole hackle tips, you want saltwater neck hackle as they are larger than normal stuff.
I used to use them to tie bluegill and bass poppers years ago, nice material to work with.

Here's a couple of more using the hackle hair with a feather on a 1/8 triangular head with number two hook.
Kind of rough looking, but fishable:

I like it. Looks like the hackle hair would make great tails on my nymphs and bluegill bugs. Trying to get my local shop to order some. Thanks for the pics.
