Here are some natural colored lures. You can see the beer bellies.
Time to make more heads. Tied up most all of them. The epoxy is very nice to work with. Beats Gorilla glue just like Dr Nip said it would. Very pleased with how it set the eyes. Highly recommend that you try it yourself. Plenty of working time, sets clear. Easy peasy.
Yesterday as I was finishing out the day, we were putting 54 briskets in the cookers. This morning I will be driving to a local hospital and will stand in the parking lot and hand slice most of those. Which means I will be nibbling the cutting board scraps and bringing some of that home with me. Brisket is very popular this time of year for Christmas parties and such. I don’t go on many cooks anymore but today I am needed.
That really looks like a shad
Flash along the gut only …….right ?
Do you think more material or less ?

A dash of flash. Not sure it does anything though.

I keep trying to improve, but it isn’t easy. The last picture shows more of what I want. Still missing the top section near the head. I need to slow down and plan more.
Really like the clean presentation with the forceps(?) . Ultimate [imho] could be achieved within a nicely taxidermed Crappie-mount. Even better = a freshly caught, open-mouthed 13" + an inch away from inhalation!! Check your pm's.

A man could move that thing along, and then stop and it would explode. Shame to just drag it behind the boat trolling it. Anyways I am enjoying trying different techniques to get a good profile for a trolled jig.
Made up some new heads because I done run out.

These are heavier and will be good for plastics. Beady gold eyes.

Kind of hard to catch the light coming off the hologram eyes, but it looks very nice.
Oh and another underspin. Can’t pile on the material with these as the blade might foul.

The tail will collapse and be well away once dipped.
