Default Some much need vice time

I finally got back at the vice after my surgery. Didn't spend a lot of time, but sure felt great...the black hook ones are 1/64th and the red hooks are 1/80th oOz, #8'sName: 20220617_073534.jpg

    Looks good!

What's that you used for the tail?
I think I've got something like that was bought last year or so. Believe that they are called gummy worms or something.

rezz93, the tail material is the tentacles off of a puffer ball, kids toy. I'll add a photo from my phone. There are like hundreds on a 5" ball...

Thank you Skip. I got the idea from watching a video on you tube called the crappie cajoler, put out by Arkansas Fishing Adventures. Where theirs is more of a jig/fly tied with Hourglass lead eyes,(i think), I used a regular jig. Should be pretty good. Thank you...

That's were I got my inspiration from as well. I have a green and pink one that I made several jigs from but only fished once due to the small size and I couldn't cast them. Using a split shot I should be able to revisit them and try again.

I fish the really light jigs like this with a weighted thill float. Smallest weighted float I can find. I also use 10lb braid that is 3lb dia. and use a clear leader of at least 5' long...4-6 lb test.
